BMS Function Development Engineer

Brief description of the position:

Develop and refine the functionalities within the BMS to ensure optimal performance, longevity, and safety of the EV batteries. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of vehicle requirements to ensure that the BMS functions align with the development goals.

Key Tasks:

• Direct the strategy for the BMS within the HV battery, ensuring it meets the operational needs of our electric vehicles.
• Tailor the development of BMS functions to meet specific HV battery and vehicle requirements within the framework of series development projects.
• Manage BMS development and software release planning in sync with the battery and vehicle project timelines.
• Define and coordinate the roll-out of features for each software release, culminating in a strategic release proposal.
• Oversee function validation across all test levels of the V-cycle, ensuring comprehensive assessment and adherence to quality standards.
• Lead in the technical analysis and risk assessment for any BMS function failures, proposing solutions to mitigate risks effectively.
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position

holder.

• Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating

organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor Degree or above
• Non- or Basic working experience
• Study on computer science, electrical, control, electronics, etc
• Master C, assembly language, familiar with C++ Language
• Familiar with CAN, LIN and other automotive bus protocol
• Familiar with configuration management, defect management and software development process
• Can negotiate and communicate with teams internally and externally
